Taught component

Our researchers selected the taught training component of the PhD degree based on their background and the skills and expertise that they wanted to develop as part of their PhD research.

We took a student-centred approach to training, which ensured our researchers accessed the very best training to meet their requirements, as well as being in full control of their portfolio of activites. In consultation with their supervisory team (academics and industrialists), our researchers chose taught modules provided by either Loughbrough University, Heriot-Watt University or from external providers.
